What were the general feelings about his comment,"Floyd is only asking for tests because he doesn't want the fight or he is building an alibi in case he loses." He said if Floyd had any evidence to take it to the commission or else drop the request.
I think its more of a case that Larry really wants to see the fight and needs to throw the blame somewhere. He may also feel he has enough influence in the sport to sway Floyd into just taking the fight without such tough restrictions. IMO, the 14 day cut off period was a good enough compromise on the whole thing and at this point its Manny thats ducking the fight. Manny has said many times that he doesn't want to take the test the day of the fight. OK then why the hell not take the 14 day cut off for the biggest money making fight in history? Because of this there will always be questions of why Manny wouldn't agree to the random testing, which will in turn hurt his legacy.
merchant is right as usual....this is as clear as day.........you jsut cant say " i'll kick your ass but im gonna need special rules" and expect people to believ you dont' have any fright in you......

Then why not say all that when floyd is directly in front of you and can respond?
He did that after the fight and floyd just said look everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Merchant is entitled to his own opinion. It just would be more manly if he said that when floyd was in front of him and not wait until the next week.
c'mon, merchant didn't want rain on floyd's parade.
anyways... merchant is right. if floyd has some evidence, then take it to the commission.
No Dip****. He's suppose to be a professional. When your blatantly biased, or hating on one individual, that is not professionalism. I see it more in boxing, actually pretty much only in boxing with a few announcers like him. He needs to retire.
I could of cared less what he was saying, and his opinion. Cool have one. Im not a fan of Floyd so who cares, but May/Mosley's pre-fight talk with him was just flat out embarrassing. Not only was it pitiful to call someone an artful dodger multiple times, but to completely be wrong about some of his facts made it worse.

You sure pully?
After the fight he made a point to emphasize, bending to your will to your demands. floyd had to dictate terms. Merchant is almost acting like Bob's mouthpiece.
