maybe you're right about martinez making him cautious but williams just doesn't seem like the type to me.
Also likely, but i think the fact Williams started slow helped Cintron land so hard shots. Personally i think Cintron wouldn't have looked as good if Williams was backing him up and applying pressure, Williams throws better short punches then Cintron IMO.

He obviously started throwing a lot more, he was 2 punches under Cintron for landed shots. Cintron was on his way to either losing a wide UD or getting KTFO.

But how can one assume that? The 4th round wasn't even 40 seconds long and Cintron had landed the hardest shot (a straight right hand) in the fight seconds before he fell through the ropes.

I guess it's also safe to assume if Hatton didn't get KO'd by Pacquiao in the 2nd, he would've adjusted and taken Pacquiao out in the later rounds?

I think this fight was competative enogh that a rematch should be in order. Honestly, after just 3 full rounds I don't believe Cintron deserved a loss.

How did Kermit end up with his back on the ropes for the first time all fight long?

Above all, a rematch is definitely due. Hopefully it gets made soon because it looked as if it was going to be an exciting fight.

Cintron was winning the fight, it would be hard for anyone to deny that but would he have WON the fight if the continued? Nobody Knows! Williams adjustment came prior to Cintron landing that big right hand punch, Williams came out to start the 4th and hit him with two big lefts if I am not mistaking

Williams does have a good chin so to see people say "well he was hurt in the 4th" who really knows besides Williams, he was dropped against Martinez and still went 12 Rounds, he was also rocked by Margarito many of times in that fight (who knows if Margarito gloves was loaded back then) and he never went down so Williams does have a good chin...BUT he needs a lot of work on his defense, sure when you have a high work rate every round and throw a lot of punches then you are going to leave yourself open but if he can add defense to his style then he is going to be tough to beat

agreed. they probably expected to drop a couple rounds before they turned up the heat though

Obviously it wasn't from a Williams punch lol.

Maybe Chris Benoit's ghost? (Sorry...that was a little low lol)
