Both are unfair advantages though when it comes to the sport of boxing. If not, then there would be no such things as weight classes.

being bigger is an advantage, but i wouldn't call it "unfair."

UNFAIR would be somebody forcing jmm to fight mayweather, and jmm not wanting to.


floyd's a WW, and the top draw in the sport.....marquez wanted the fight, and GLADLY moved up to fight floyd.

a fighter using performance enhancers is an "unfair" advantage.....a guy loading his handwraps with plaster, is an "unfair" advantage....

fighting a smaller guy, who wants to fight you, and giving him the biggest payday of his career, is what i call "charitable."

Marquez never had a fight above 135 LBS (list all the fight night weights you want, but the fact remains

Floyd refused to come into the weight they originally agreed on

Floyd originally wanted to fight Marquez @ 147 LBS

Floyd keeps talking about how boxing should be an even playing field, but his choices don't reflect that. Sure, you can say that it was Marquez's fault for signing the contract. But then, wouldn't it also be Cotto's fault for agreeing to fight Pacquiao? But thats besides the point, thats not what this thread is about.

Well as Floyd likes to say "skills pay the bills".

If u cant box, then I dont see how ped's are gonna help u. The same way I dont see how u can become this awesome baseball player just by taking steroids alone. U still need skills and hand eye coordination to hit that ball. Sure it'll give u the ability to hit it harder and further, but u still have to make contact. Steroids dont give u hand/eye coordination.
