i think roy showed tremendous heart in the first taver fight he was spent from like the 4 or 5th round and fought like a champion

All doubts about his heart were cleared by the first Tarver fight. He looked like a shell of himself and still fought to a win over the best LHW in the world. Anything that happened after that fight is irrelevant when discussing his place in history. I dont think its even arguable, he is the most athletic fighter to ever lace up a pair of boxing gloves.

Avoided the Benn's and Eubanks and Collins's. When he finally met Joe Calzaghe, Joe punished him and showed Roy to be the fraud that he was.
