I dont blame Sergio..why would he want to step in the ring and face the possibility of getting outclassed by a smaller fighter..he knows his stock would go down...hes getting alot of shine right now..its too soon and too risky to take a fight with Floyd right now..

He can, but that fight was no robbery.

Martinez would easily beat Margarito, avenging a loss, AND increasing his marketability over here and in Mexico. We all know, despite the FOTY candidate against Pwill, almost no one was watching. Margarito drew 17,000 fans against a nobody. Martinez/Margarito = Easy win + Plenty of exposure + Sets up a Mayweather Martinez fight (since Mayweather avoided Margarito anyways) = Perfect Setup. Martinez gets all the props for pursuing this fight...

I don't think it's so much Martinez afraid of being outclassed. He's being smart and patient. Margarito is a perfect setup fight and stepping stone towards a Mayweather fight. He gets all of the exposure and an easy win/payday. No one was watching the Pwill fight, a shame since it was FOTY candidate. If he beats Margarito, which he will, the fans will demand a Mayweather fight since Mayweather avoided Margarito anyways. Martinez will have some added marketability too, especially with the latino fans.
