Mitchell vs Katsidis, Ortiz vs Campbell and Khan vs Malignaggi all take place at the weekend.
I know a lot of people probably don't have much interest in the British fight, but for me it's the most interesting. Both have been involved in wars in the past, and although Mitchell will probably try to box, I don't think he'll be able to stick to that all night.
Even though Mitchell moves well and can box from the outside, I think he'll need to work on catching Katsidis on the way in as Casamayor did, because if he doesn't then Kats will probably come out on top in an inside fight.
It's hard to know how to judge the flaws Mitchell showed in the past because he took a year off, moved up in weight and changed trainers, and seems to have improved quite a bit because of it. Still, I think at least of part of the reason for that is the style of his opponents. Katsidis has more in common with Johannson (who gave Mitchell hell in their fight a couple of years ago) than with Prescott. Katsidis cuts off the ring a lot better than Prescott and I think he'll pin Mitchell against the ropes often enough to wear him down and stop him in the championship rounds.
At 38 years old and without a win in over a year, I think this will be the night that Campbell looks his age. He'll have to contend with a size, speed, strength and power disadvantage. Despite how bad quitting against Maidana made him look, Ortiz is still a very talented fighter, and I think he'll land more and more hard shots as it goes on, and then take over the fight late and score a KO.
I think Khan will take a wide UD against Malignaggi. I think GBP/Roach have chosen the perfect opponent for Khan. Maybe Paulie can time a left hook perfectly and drop him, as he did to N'Dou (who has a better chin than Khan) but I consider that to be pretty unlikely. Khan is a pretty skillful guy and I think that when he does get put down in the future, it'll be by a pressure fighter rather than a slickster/counter-puncher. Even though the gap between the two of them isn't that wide overall, I think Khan will outland Paulie by a fairly large margin.
