The thing is that Shane stop throwing, and allowed Mayweather to choose his punches wisely. Margarito would likely not get discouraged and keep throwing and applying pressure. A Mayweather TKO isn't impossible though. Floyd is looking very strong at welterweight now.

Maybe a stoppage isn't entirely impossible. But I think it would take far more effort and leather than Floyd would be willing to give. I just can't see Floyd do enough damage to Marg to make him quit. I really can't.

I don't think Margarito would ever quit, one thing about him is that he is ready to die in the ring if need be.

But he could catch a lot of accumulation in the late rounds. I would definitely say Floyd by decision if that was Margarito before Cotto and Mosley.
