I don't see why anyone is crying about the results. Fact is no one is going to look at that fight as conclusive or meaningful. It really should be a NC but who cares, it doesn't matter, the winner isn't going to benefit and the loser isn't going to be punished. Hell, I would bet money Kermit would get a bigger fight at 147 or 154 before Paul does, we see how HBO was ****ting on Paul like it was his fault Kermit jumped out the ring like a ***** and played dead.
no way williams won that fight last night

See people want to say niether guy did anything. that was Cintron's plan. that means he dictated the action. He wanted the output to be low. I saw him controlling the fight, slipping most off William's punches, and landing his own clean blows. Including a couple of right hands that clearly got Paul's attention.
It's a shame this had to happen. It was getting good. I blame Cintron for milking it so much.Comment

I was tell my pops the same exact thing last night. If you want to say something about Cintron, let it be that...
The folks that are nuthugging Williams really need to stop. These are the same people that get wet when FLoyd makes a fighter miss, yet Cintron has Paul looking like someone who just throws to be throwing, and that fact is dismissed...
I really hate boxing fans sometimes. If you didn't have Cintron winning 3 rounds at least, I really have to question what folks cliam to know about the sport...Last edited by HandSpeed303; 05-09-2010, 03:11 PM.Comment

I gave the 1st round to Williams, because I thought the flurry at the end stole a lackluster round. 2nd round I gave to Kermit, he made Paul missed and landed some nice counters. 3rd round I gave to Paul, I thought he stole the last 20 seconds with some increase in the work rate and started to land on Kermit. 4th, I gave to Paul at the time because he started to catch Kermit more and more and had him running back to the ropes, then Kermit jumped out the ring and it was over.I agree 100%.

My card was 3 - 1 Williams, surprisingly just like Lederman's card.
As for the boxing, I think Paul is going to have to work on his traditional boxing more in camp, because this was the first unveiling of it in an actual fight and he looked like an amatuer out there, but when he stopped trying to box and went to his regular style, he started to land and turn up the heat on Kermit, and I don't think Kermit liked that at all. I guess I don't see a problem with Paul sucking early, because it seeme to me like he was trying to implement a new style that is obviously still a work in progress.Comment

I don't agree with you.
At least you gave an explaination.
The bolded:
I didn't see that...I didn't see Paul put together more than two punches that landed. Like I said before, that is a myth that has been created, cause folks are used to seeing Williams "turn up the heat"..Comment
