I'm so sick of this dude, I knew he was going to *****. To his credit I think he was doing better than Williams in the first two, but I really wonder if he was hurt as bad as he made out. He was still very alert and able to talk angrily to the officials when they tried to help him up. If he wanted to continue so bad, he could have at least make some type of attempt to get up.

If you're on the floor saying you want to continue, yet you make no effort to get up, then if course the officials will stop it.

Actually, you are allowed to stay in whatever position you want and they should give you 5 minutes. The doctor called it off right away. cintron laid there for 5 minutes but that's because the doctor had already called the fight.

i had it cintron 39-38 with an even 2nd round.
i know i would also of complained if they gave it to cintron.

california wouldn't have had to bend there rules to make this one a NC.

I won't miss him, after the Angulo fight I was ready to start giving him props.

But than homeboy jumped out the ring, and pulled some crap never before seen in boxing. Doc was holding him like a baby, bringing out the stretcher.

That was ridiculous.

No way in hell he deserved the win, or deserves the rematch. Honestly, send him to showtime for a few fights, IMO he has to make this crap up to the fans. If he wanted to continue to fight all he had to do was get up and walk into the ring.

i didn't read other posts but Cintron boxed the first two rounds well, the third round Williams started to pick up the pace and started putting pressure...but the funniest part was... at least from my point of view...it looked like Cintron threw himself out of the ring...i saw that and I was like "what the..." He could've have aimed for the ropes...but the dude shot out between the ropes...I had three other people seeing the same thing.

I like Williams, and I would've seen him applying that pressure throughout the fight winning. But at that moment Cintron was boxing effectively against Williams. It should have been Cintron win...or at least a no contest, (Nevada considers no contest before 4 rounds, I guess CA is THAT much different).

Williams should give a rematch just for the principle. The state should overturn the decision.

but the doctor did stop the fight before cintron was given 5 minutes to recover

why are people ignoring that?

if you have ever had the wind knocked out of you from a fall or see anyone get there wind knock out; its obvious that the person that has had their wind knock out needs a moment to catch their breath

no one really won this fight. williams got the dec. i had cintron up but even if he got the decision it wouldnt have been fair to williams the correct ruling on this fight should have been a

no contest.

The Sky Sports team said that the officials changed the rules so that they could award the win to the star fighter, which I can see what they mean...

The fight should have been a NC, 4 rounds had not been completed. It was, what, a minute into the 4th? Very frustrating for us fans. It's a shame too, as the fight was just getting heated up.

I see what you're saying, but Cintron never made an attempt to get up. Maybe he was badly hurt, none of use can be sure. But with all of the **** he has showed in the past, I wonder whether or not he played on it to get an easier win.
