Berto is not ranked higer then he is and he doesnt have a better resume. Why do we care if hes "earned" the shot you should want Floyd to fight him anyway.
Martinez took that fight on short notice, had to go up to 160 for the first time in his career, and on top of that outboxed Paul for the majority of the fight.

If Paul Williams doesn't deserve a shot a Floyd or Pac. Then who does deserve a shot against Floyd or Pac?

Paul Williams also took that fight on short notice too.

Martinez has fought at MW before.

The fight was close that could of gone either way. P-Will got the decision.

How is he doing what B-Hop did? Who is he waiting for to come up to his weight-Class? He is doing the opposite of what B-Hop did and is going DOWN to his opponent weight-class to make it a fair fight.

That wasnt his first time. Paul didnt have the much time to prepare either and we all know he struggles with slick lefties anyway. He still won.

Making weight and belonging at a weight is 2 different things, PW at welter is a maquerade.

Paul Williams was already in training camp for the Pavlik fight.

Martinez fighting at 160 one time vs. a bum 4 years ago doesn't constitute MW experience.

Fight was close and could have gone either way, but it's hard to overlook 119-110 for Williams. Assuming that the first round was scored 10-9 for Martinez, that judge gave all of the last 11 rounds to Williams. I'm not blind.
