Pac is the P4P Number 1 fighter. Hes also in Floyds weight class. So are you discredting the win because hes taller and has a longer reach then Pac? You dont like Floyd...fine. But lets be realistic here man. This dude beat Cotto and Clottey who are BIGGER then Floyd.

I dont think he will walk Manny down, difference between those other Southpaw's and Manny is that they were counter punching lefties who invite contact and take full advantage of the Southpaw stance by making you be the aggressor, Pac gives up the advantage by being so aggressive, Mayweather would sit back and use the stick against him and it would work more effectively because of his reach advantage imo.

Sometimes I feel that when Mayweather is confronted with speed, he feels the need to get in the pocket. If he chooses to box, then the size advantage could play a major role. Can't say size will automatically be the deciding factor because none of us know how Mayweather is gonna approach Pacquiao. It all depends.

almost everyone that fights manny is bigger than manny, i gave up discrediting manny a long time ago and now i tell people that pacquiao is just very good, him and floyd has to be made, odds should be straight even

I think the major factor there though, is that Manny has never fought a guy on HIS! level or possibly above who has a reach advantage, i think thats why its a lot more of a factor.

See an elite fighter like a Duran could go up and beat a Barkley because Barkley was a B class fighter, put Duran in with a guy as big as Barkley who is elite and he would not win.

Yes he is too small for mayweather in size but pac will make floyd play as a small guy in the ring. Pac hand speed, angle, foot speed, agility, mobility and power will be too much for floyd to handle.

I dont get this post. Every person with eyes knows Floyd is taller and has a longer reach. Yes he will use it. Yes its up to Pac to do something about it. No thats not a reason to **** on him if he wins.

What if Mosley stopped Floyd in round 2 he doesnt get credit because hes taller and has a longer reach? Didnt Quintana beat Paul Williams? Hasnt Pac beaten fighters with longer reaches then him? Hes beaten taller fighters correct?

It does all depend.

If Mayweather fights the way he did against Mosley then you never know, i cant see him doing that though, not when he has a blue print on how to beat Manny laid out by Morales, of coarse he has improved by as evident in the Cotto fight he can still be outboxed when you counter him.

You would also have to give Floyd enough respect to recognize that Manny has been at his best against aggressive guys but struggled against guys that counter punch him.

If he wants to make a statement then you never know he could fight that way, cant see it myself though.

Manny Pacquaio is too small for Mayweather, not just in overall size but most significantly in reach!!, see i watched JMM fight Floyd and even though JMM was starting to show signs of sliding before the Mayweather fight and he did not seem to acclimatize to the weight very well, Mayweather made full use of the height advantage, i can see him doing the same thing to MP, of coarse Manny is a different animal but if Mayweather maintains and controls distance he would make it very hard for Pacquaio, particularly if he took centre ring and counter punched Manny from there the way Cotto did. I hear people say how Pac would overwhelm him but here is the thing, to me Pacquaio stops throwing when he starts getting countered consistently, Marquez did it to him in the second fight, when Pac was getting hit he seemed to stop and think about what he was going to do too much and it effected his output.


I see it like this at the moment, Paul Williams has the tools to but not the Boxing brain or defense to maximize his advantages, basically he is a good fighter but not on Mayweather's level, Pacquiao is more on Mayweather's level, albeit probably not as good, but Pacquiao is too small, see that makes me undecided on which fight i would rather see, meaning which fight i think would make a more competitive fight.
