You're missing the point. It's not about who represents the commission. It's that if you have a risk through the negotiation it's within your rights to request certain information. If the other party doesn't want to subject to the trials they're free to walk away.

If you feel a term is necessary in a contract to protect your investment you have every right to put it in there. If the other party doesn't want to accept those terms they're within their rights to do so.

Applying that to Mayweather, he has doubts on whether Pacquiao is drug free, to ease those concerns he wants him to take a drug test, he's within his rights to put those terms in the contract. Pacquiao can accept or reject those terms, he rejected them, he's within his rights.

He doesn't trust their effectiveness, and in all honesty I don't blame him. If I'm buying a house I can send my own people into to do a check over on the house instead of leaving it in the hands of the estate agent.
