Comments Thread For: Klitschko vs Sosnowski Sells 30,000 Tickets, 50K Expected

The heavyweight championship event with Vitali Klitschko and Albert Sosnowksi of Poland has sold close to 30,000 tickets. Vitali defends the WBC title against Sosnowski on May 29 at Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The big number shows that Vitali and his younger brother Wladimir can bring out the fans against any kind of opponent and the reason why they continue to stage their events in Germany. Thats a alot of people, they are catching up to the number of fans that go to Pacquiao fights! Off topic kind of, does anyone know how many tickets sold for Floyd/Mosley or Floyd/Marquez? I'm sure if we bring up PPV sales Floyd wins that hands-down but I'm wondering who gets more fans to see them fight live.

Why would I be ****** for not knowing that? It's fine... Everything is set aside now... Just need to say things in a nicer tone. No reason to call people idiots because they didn't know that. We are fine now.

I thought they would have sold more by now TBH, the fight is like 3 weeks away, what are the chances that they'll sell 20k tickets more in 3 weeks?

Vlad draws those crowds in Germany & other parts of Europe, Its unlikley he's be able to pull those numbers in the US. In comparison, if Floyd fought in the UK or Europe, im sure he'd generate a huge buzz. Maybe not as much as Vlad but the point is he could still pull it off even "OFF" his home soil. And Pac....well we all know how he did in Dallas w/ a virtually unknown Clottey. Can you imagine if Pac fought somewhere in Asia, there would be ****ing riots.

Klitschko bros are big draws in Europe, they don't need american dollars. That's why 85% of their fights are in Germany.

it's crazy how big they are over there. considering germany's population that'd be like a fight getting over 100 thousand people here.

their fights get over 50 percent tv market share. that's more than the superbowl gets in america.
