    This is a paradox!

If both things were true, Lennox would've touched canvass at least once in there 2003 fight. Lennox was hit flush with powershots from Vitali and didnt go down.

So my question is why wasnt there a knockdown?
vitali isnt a big one punch guy yet he still wobbled lewis badly on 2 occasions. vitali gets you out late on an accumalation of punches in which he likely would have done if his skin was tougher and if the ref would have let it go.. lewis was fortunate for having such tougher skin. its the only thing that saved him from a late stoppage loss. lewis was getting his ass kicked and wimped out on a rematch. even his own trainor was disappointed with him

      You havent seen the fight
Fine, substitute that name with Sanders or Sam Peter, the point still remains, that Wlad has been down as many times in one fight as Lewis has in 44 fights.

Even if Vitali was a moderate puncher, if Lennox is as glass-chinned as everyone says, he shouldve been down.
lewis didnt walk straight into a punch with his hands by his waist as he did with the other 2

tua's hooks were not thrown with maximum leverage and didnt land cleanly. he was reaching with his shots. lewis's chin wasnt horrible as some suggest but it was also far from granite

getting knocked down and knocked out are 2 different things dude. with flash knockdowns balance is involved. lewis was totally out on his feet in his stoppages whereas wlad got up on fairly steady legs most of the time with the exception of the last sanders knockdown. both guys chins are average

Leaving after 35 in boxing is called retirement, not wimping out. Why would you keep fighting if your athleticism is diminishing year by year? Meanwhile the other guy is just reaching his peak as he approaches 33...

And what is it going to prove if Vitali beat a 39 year old Lewis? I dont know crap about fighting but I could probably kick Joe Frazier's ass right now, does that make me an ATG boxer?

Vitali didnt get it done when it mattered, and he must live with his failure. His fragile skin didnt prevent him from winning 39 professional fights, so it should be no excuse when he faces a geezer either.

anyone who's actually followed Lewis' career and not just BoxRec knows he has a good chin.
