I agree with you. Hopkins is still the best P4P. Regarding your "ifs", no way Trinidad will beat Hopkins because Hopkins got Trinidad's number. And, there is nothing new in MAB that can make him a winner over Pacman.

Lets talk about the last 2yrs for sec because a true fan doesn't need Boxrec.com to find the 3 p4p fighters Mayweather has beaten in his entire career like you do.

Pacman beat Barrera and had a hard-fought DRAW with Marquez.

          Wright beat Mosely twice.

Spinks beat Mayorga and Zab Judah!

Mayweather beat Ndou,Sosa,Corley YAWN! My point exactly
          Corrales, Castillo (x2), and Hernandez..

I've never seen him fight but why do people rate Castillo so highly after the losses on his record?

Likewise Corrales. He's beaten some decent guys but nobody to give him p4p status that I can see.

tarver had an opportunity to fight jones earlier in an elimination bout with eric harding. he lost that bout. then it took some time to get his career back on track after he beat harding in the rematch

in terms of pure talent, i would put mayweather over hopkins on the p4p list. but of course, we gotta consider other things too. I think mayweather has the ability to step up his game in the big fights, like he did against corrales. that was a shocking blowout. however, it's absolutely amazing that hopkins can maintain such a high level of performance at his age

Yeah but he came back and was the number one contender under two of the sanctioning bodies. This was a year or so before Jones going up to fight Ruiz. That's why he did what he did at the press conference after the Ruiz fight because he thought Jones was ducking him.

I Read That The Mayweather 2005 Fight Is Off. Apparently Hbo Dropped Him Due To Him Being So Undiceded On Who To Fight. I Was Dazing On A Corrales Matchup.who Would Woop His Loudmouth Ass. And If He Is Thinking About 147 Someone Better Sit Him Down For A Talk.
