Mayweather best p4p?I dont think so

How can a fighter who's fought journeyman opponents for the past 2yrs and has only fought once this year be consider a top3 p4p fighter? The one guy he fought this year was Chop Chop Corley who had already lost to Zab Judah in his previous fight,a fight in which you could see Mayweather Jr in the crowd shouting out advise to his Best Friend Judah.I'm begining to think his management saw something in this Mayweather-Castillo fights because since that fight Mayweathers been getting handpicked opponents.

Hopkins is pound for pound. If Trinidad gets him in the rematch he would become pound for pound. I also think that if Barrera beats Pacquiao, he could become #1.

Mayweathers scheduled to fight some guy named Henry Bruseles January 2005.Rarely does a top3 p4p fighter fight a no name, especially at 140 where there are plenty of top known fighters out there to fight.

Roy Jones has done it several times. In fact Jones fought almost nothing but manditories since he moved up to 175. Even Tarver had to become his manditory before Jones gave him the opportunity.

For one,Mayweather doesn't hold a World Title at 140.The Light Heavyweight division wasn't as deep back then like the Jr.Welterweight division is now.Mayweathers fought Ndou,Sosa,Corley and now some guy named Bruseles?Thats gonna be four C-Level opponents in 2yrs and 135-140 is arguably the most talented divisions in boxing today.Mayweather is either a protected fighter or the most avoided one.

Top Rank is just waiting for Gatti before going for anyone else. After Castillo they tried to make the Spadafora fight but it fell through with Spadafora's legal trouble. Ndou and Sosa were just title defenses nothing more nothing less. Corley was just to test the waters at 140 and Bruseles is just to keep him busy with an easy fight as they hope for a Gatti victory over Leija.

Excuses man.If he hasn't been injured,he needs to get his a$$ in the ring if claims to be the best p4p fighter in the World. He spent more time at the Spinks-Judah fight and running his mouth at their Post-fight press conference than he has fighting in the ring this year.Sad

thats not true, jones vacated the belts to move up to heavy. tarver was the champion at 175 in the first match. if you remember there was that situation of who gets introduced first.tarver had beaten montell griffin for the vacated belts left behind by jones. the reason the fight happened was because tarver kept going at jones in the media and even showed up to the post fight press conference after jones had won the heavyweight title from john ruiz.

I know about that but Tarver was Jones manditory before Roy went up to heavyweight. That's why Tarver fought for the vacant belt.

Jpboxer I'm not trying to make excuse I'm just saying what it is. It's Top Rank that's doing it not Mayweather.

i know tarver was jones's mandatory before jones's move to heavy but the jones-tarver match didnt happen because tarver was jones's mandatory but because jones wanted his titles back
