Actually I believe that would be his next belt at his 7th weight class if i'm not mistaken.

I know Martinez is a good guy and all with the charity work he's doing right now, but this thing with the diamond belt doesn't help matters any where improving the sport of boxing is concerned. Mayweather wouldn't even pay for this thing anyway so it looks like Martinez would be the only one fighting for it.

Did it ever occur to Sergio that Floyd did not want to pay a sanctioning fee for the WBA belt cause he already won a belt at welterweight before and did`nt see the importance for winning another belt?

The WBC belt is different cause Floyd never won a belt at Middleweight.I`m sure he would wont a sixth WBC belt considering he won five of those and the WBC belt is the most highly regarded belt in boxing.

All of these governing bodies and there titles don't mean ish anymore. They're just more hands in the cookie jar.

When was the last time we recognized a true world champion? Was is Tyson?

It was cool when it was only the WBC, WBA and IBF. It's gotten outa control now.

The real world champions now are the ones who generate the most money.

I like the Matchup. Martinez is a guy that has moved up and fought the best, not the easiest fighters. Also, the guy has decent handspeed for a guy in his weight class and has pretty good movement.

I actually like the idea of Mayweather and Martinez instead of Mayweather and the hyped up fighter that has not fought the best unless he implements conditions that are in his favor.

Martinez has fought P Williams & Pavilik, the top fighters at Super WW/Jr Middleweight & Middleweight. No cherry picking, weight draining crap and that is a fact.
