The Margarito fight was supposed to be his official coronation at the time. Arum and most others didn't expect Cotto to get ran through. Arum got him the Pac payday to keep him onboard as opposed to seeing him jump ship to GBP. Now he's got him in position to get another title at a new weight. I guess Cotto's just stuck dealing with Arum for now if he's not gonna buy himself out. Not sure what his deal is with TR. He was pissed, and rightfully so at Arum for backing Margarito through the investigation of the wraps.

You know how Italians stick with Italians except the exception of annoying rat-faced Guidos? Is it the same with ***s, how ***s stick together? Just wondering? I'm not being racist, I'm just saying us Italian people help each other out.

I bet he regrets staying with him. If he would have signed with GBP he would have been a little more protected and not the sacrifical lamb that Arum uses him as.

He made good change with Pac but he could have still had that fight down the road and probably a mayweather fight and a mosley rematch
that right there would be about 30 mil for him if not more

In all honesty look at the way GBP exploited Marquez by letting him fight Mayweather.

he resigned with arum to get the pacquiao fight

this was right after cotto expressed his unhappiness with arum defending margarito after the plaster stuff

Miguel is a ****in puppet who's hungry for money. That's the reason why. And that comes from his number 1 fan.

I like Cotto too, he is one of my favorites. Though, its kind of clear that Bob Arum is setting him up. Isn't Yuri one of Bob Arums fighters too? Not only is Yuri one of Bob Arum's fighters but he is technically one of his brothers too in a way.

Did Cotto ask for this Yuri fight or did Bob Arum recommend it to Cotto? Thats the real question I'd like to know.

True but I think it had more to do with lets give JMM one last big money fight and lets stick it to Pac for not signing with us

they have pretty much protected most of their fighters
a little too much I think

Obviously Cotto is an idiot, that is the only reasoning.

                  P.S. I'm shocked at the anti-semetism. LOL

Do you have any idea what Cotto makes in his minimums? Bad to Cotto? I wish someone treated me that bad. Cotto has headlined at least half a dozen pay-per-views for them. Receives millions per fight. Makes a huge payday for Pacquiao and after he took a monster beating, they bring him back to headline a history making event with the first boxing card in Yankee Stadium show in over 33 years.

Exploited Marquez not I know it was a mismatch but Marquez almost made more money from Mayweather not making weight alone. Marquez got his biggest payday and is about to headline a payperview in July, Id say not bad for just losing to Mayweather.
