Serious Question about what if? SRL vs Floyd Mayweather jr

SRL is my username for a reason and thats because i grew up a huge fan but im not not the type to automatically favor older fighters as i get older. I got a question? How come some boxing fans have Ray just flat out dominating when he couldn't just flat out dominate Floyd Mayweather Sr, Wilfred Benitez, Ayub Kalule.

Now later on in those fights he looked impressive, but lets break them down. The Floyd Mayweather Sr fiight with the exception of the 10th round SRL speed looks good but not to the point where im like daaaaaamn when i watch prime Roy Jones or Mayweather jr. Make him miss and POOOOOOW. Im not seing that at all. The Benitez fight SRL speed looks very good early but as he tires he starts throwing wide punches and the same jab, attempted right hand over and over. Actually in rounds 2 and 3 SRL keeps trying to throw the same jab over right hand.

The Kalule fight. Ray wins by a 9th round TKO but got hit a lot in the fight with counterpunches. Kalule is slow as malasas on a slow summer day in alaska. Dude is slow as heck. How the heck did he even land like that on Ray? Ray walked through his shots because he had no power but makes me wonder if he did and had some speed and defense.

I think some fans favor older eras cause they grew up on them. They favor the older in more convincing fashion when the older couldnt even dominate a opponent from back then who is much worse than a opponent years later in a fantasy matchup.

SRL threw punches in bunches. Good power. good speed. That would've made a good fight since Floyd is a great counter-puncher. IMO Floyd could be every bit as good as guys like SRL if he wasn't so defensive. He rarely throw more than two punches at a time to limit counter-punching.

Would've be great to see how Mayweather's style would make SRL fight, and if he would adjust.

ray would have won ... you saw how leonard threw everything
at hearns in round 11 to take him out ...
maywaether would have never recovered in round 2 if that was
          ray in there

Love to make this fight happen but even if both fighters fought in the same era, Floyd would of never fought SRL and would also ask him to take the Olympic Style Drug Test cause he knows he would get beat..

Why does someone who supposedly is such a big Ray Leonard fan always think Floyd Mayweather would beat every single older era fighter pitted against him in discussion?

              Hmm....

Ray would win, because the great bigger man beats the great smaller man. It is as simple as that. Only idiots think he would dominate, though.

Size could cause some problems. But I'd say Floyd were stronger at the lower weights. Competitive fight, but I got the edge for SRL. Floyd at LW a whole different story.

If I were a betting man, I'd go with Ray Leonard. It'd be a tough match up for Floyd due to Leonard's combination of size and speed, and in the end, I think the size difference would be the deciding factor. Wouldn't be any domination or any KO's.
