The expectations for Floyd's always high, though it was hard to favor Pacquiao at the time when he had to move up to Welterweight the same year he fought at Superfeatherweight and was physically smaller than De La Hoya in almost every factor except fight night weight.

The risk -- yes. In retrospect, I'd say no. That Shane managed to awaken the offensive Floyd.
circumstance -- I don't understand. I thought that this would be coupled with "risk"
media attention -- no. pac-dlh interest was mainly due to a circus type of feeling while floyd shane is due to the actual matchup. In retrospect though and the current ppv projection holds, then the media attention is the same.

I think Pac took the greater risk at that time in his career. ODH could of done better though in terms of training and weight managment (guy was a twig). Mosley is just washed up.

if mayweather beats pac, you wont acknowledge that he is a better fighter than pac? then you are not a moderate fan.....people keep bashing mayweather's achievements but who do the hell is he supposed to beat in his division aside from pac that he will get "actual" credit for. before the fight with mosley it was 50/50 in the public on who will win and before the fight was made mosley was considered the most dangerous WW to floyd even more than pac by most experts. now all of a sudden he dominated so all mayweather did is beat up a washed up fighter according to these pac nuthuggers. mayweather is right that no matter what he does people find excuses, I bet when he beats pac, there will be excuses like he was distracted by politics or mayweather was too big for him or taking his blood 14 days before teh fight made him weak.....for real what does you dillusional pac fans want mayweather to do after he takes cares of pac.

How about Floyd's risk when HE fought Oscar? he fought Oscar when Oscar was a world champion using 10oz gloves and let Oscar choose the ring size, glove brand and just about everything else and STILL beat him, he beat an Oscar who was actually conditioned enough to throw some punches back at him. and to answer this meaningless question I feel Floyd's win was better because even though Shane was inactive he still had some life and energy, even landed a couple shots and made it a fight the first 2 rounds
