Actually DLH wouldn't have been massacred by Chavez in Chavez' prime because they were in their primes at 2 different weights.

    A 147 pound DLH would have merc'd a 135 pound Chavez...

As far as who the better fighter is career wise? It's a dumb question and anyone who doesn't answer Chavez is a ****ing moron.

DLH started his career at 130 Super Featherweight, and still would of beat him at any weight.

De La Hoya at 130 and 135 wouldn't know what to do with JCC. He's way too young and untested. As a matter of fact, what the **** am I saying it's just dumb even talking about this.

I agree with that.. Chavez should be ashamed for quitting against DLH.. Chavez was 35 when he lost..hell Holyfield was 36 when he beat Tyson.. Chavez loses to DLH and Sweet Pea at any weight, any time.. His impact on a culture and a nation cannot be minimized, but still a slightly overrated fighter

Good, cause theirs no explantion to why Chavez is #1, and DLH is crap, or why people are saying he would win a fight with him, cause it simply isnt true.

Im a BIG JCC fan but im allways honest wen i speak in the forum and I think it would have been a draw if both of them were in their prime.

de la hoya's prime is at welterweight, he beats JCC easly and TKO's him, just like he did before, anything else and JCC would most likley win because DLH was too young to handle the experince of JCC at superfeather-lightweight,

chavez was a great fighter and is an icon of the sport and mexico but i have to go with dlh on this and this why dlh won a gold medal and won titles in 6 different weight classes...chavez no medal won titles in 3 different weight classes....also weather people want to admit it or not chavez padded up his record he even fought a garbageman and a taxi driver...

chavez thru the 1st. 41 fights of his career the win -loss record of his opponents was 199-204..also during this streak 10 of these fighters made their pro debut against chavez...of these 41 fighters only 9 had winning records and 24 had fought 6 times or less...

dlh thru his 1st. 41 fights win-loss record of his opponents i leftout chavez who had 97 wins when they 1st. fought and yori boy campas who had 85 because they were "old" when they fought dlh despite this the combined records were 1131 - 103 ...during his 1st 41 fights all his opponents had winning records ...only his 1st. opponent had less than 6 fights...the rest of his opponents all had duoble digit wins...

i added up these #'s from boxrec according to their win-loss record and that of their opponents....i am sorry but the #'s don't lie this makes chavez 100 wins less impresive keep in mind that i only did their 1st. 41 fights chavez fought guys with horrible records or guys that made their por-debut against him after his 1st. 41 fights.
