Comments Thread For: Klitschko Says There is No Reason David Haye Can't Fight

The champion of the WBO/IBF/IBO, Wladimir Klitschko says there is no justification for David Haye to avoid their fight. In an interview with Today, Klitschko said the fight would happen in the fall, between September to November and there will be a rematch clause in the contract. The fight appears to be taking place in Germany, but Klitschko does not rule out the chance of fighting in England. [Click Here To Read More]

Wlad might have leeway to fight, but is the WBA giving Haye the same luxury? If not, then the only solution is to drop that worthless belt and take the lower end of the split. Nowhere to run now.

Haye has fought three utter bums in a row at heavyweight, it's time he fought a live body, not a freak clown who can't even punch and an old hugger.

It has to be either one of the brothers or Adamek as far as I'm concerned. If he takes one or more of those fights, he'll have my support (somewhat at least, just because of the Brit thing). If it's anyone else, I'll drop my support like a stone just like I did with Khan.

        It's time.

By the WBA rules, Haye is entitled to a voluntary defense now, because he just fought his mandatory John Ruiz. Wlad wants his WBA belt.

There really is no excuse for Haye to refuse to fight. He has a lot to gain if he wins: Wlad's 3 belts, plus the Ring Championship.

And if he won, the US sports media would fall in love with him because he's black, and hail him as the messiah of the HW division!

why wouldnt they give haye additional time. Valuev backed out of rematch and is going elsewhere. The only way he dont fight is if he gets vaginitus. They dont care, because it is a unification bout. The problem is Hayes P---y Hurts at the moment and he will go into hidding. Everybody does know including haye that hayes ass is going to sleep when this big ass ukrainian taps that jaw. I really and truly would not be suprised if a wlad jab dont sit this chump down. Tko wlad in the 4th round. nuff said

Do you not read the article before posting?

Klitschko clearly states that Haye has received the same permission to unify and that the fight is being actively discussed.

Haye will find some reason not to take the fight. My guess is it will be over money as he has already exhausted every other excuse in the book.

Haye is a bum and probably won't take this fight. IF he does, He's going to get his arse kicke! He will be exposed as the glass chin fraud he is.

Don't you think Wlad is too big for Haye?

Weren't they lining up the Chagaev-Meehan winner for him next? I can imagine the WBA's stance in not wanting to unify with the other belts at any cost - the prospect must be sickening for them. :eyeroll:

Sure I read it, but I'd rather believe an official statement by the WBA over a hot-headed Wlad.
