Can Malignaggi can a fair shake against Khan?

Let's disregard the silly KO stuff for now. Most likely this fight is going the distance, but how will it be handled? Unfortunately, I have my fears...

Like in the Diaz fights, we've got GBP promoting and the scalp of one of their biggest stars up for grabs. Surely even in New York they won't let Malignaggi get a decision over their newest boy, if he were to shockingly outbox him?

For sure. The first Diaz fight was razor-thin and could've been either a draw or 115-113 either way. Malignaggi had better cut the clowning this time around and get to business early in order to rack up the rounds - although a fast-starting Khan will look to KO him early, so we'll see.

Do we have any of the officials' names yet?

alot of people are predicting an early KO for Khan but i think it will go all 12 rounds in a close fight.

And that, right there, is the question - in an even remotely close fight (say, of the 116-112 variety), surely there's no way Malignaggi can edge it. Not when the "gophers" of GBP are out in force.

If Malignaggi wants that belt, he's going to have to lay some serious **** down. Like, really shock the world.

i thin khan will win becuase he throws alot more punches than Malignaggi, If malignaggi wants to win he has to fight at his apce but against Khan it will be tough

Really? Malignaggi threw over 900 punches in the Diaz fight and over 800 in Diaz 2.

yeah i wouldn't say khan throws that much more than malignaggi

it will be interesting to see the speed difference from the first bell

malignaggi reckons khan is too tight and tries to hard to be fast whereas he punches more freely and relaxed not sure i totally agree with that but we'll see

and yes if it's a close fight i can see paulie getting robbed again even in new york
