Anyone feel the chance for Mayweather-Pacquiao being made is better than last time?

I think we'll all get the best xmas present for 2010. Arum actually praised Mayweather in a story. The purse won't be a problem since Mayweather vs Mosley did about the same as Pac vs Cotto. Also, neither party has good immediate alternatives, unlike last time, so I think that they’ll be a little more patience to wait for a compromise on the blood testing issue. Also, Pac election date won’t be rushing anything this time.

Na, Team Pac doesn't want their cash cow milked and exposed before the masses. They wont make this fight until they feel Pac can no longer be beneficial as far as mega revenues are concerned, and then they'll throw him to the lions. The lion in this case.

But there's nowhere else to turn. Marg won't be liscened in the U.S. (deservedly), they said no to Berto for some reason, Bradley is a dangerous fight for them, and I'm sure Arum knows people ain't paying for Pac vs Cotto 2. Valero was their back up plan. He was going to fight once at 140 against Lamont, and if he won, he'd get a Pac fight. Now they have no where else to turn.

it's like when the mosley fight was made, floyd had nowhere else to turn to and mosley just became available. the fight was kinda forced on floyd, and now, floyd and pac are being forced on each other.

I pretty sure the chance of this fight happening is the same as it was the first time around. Why would anybody think PBF will bend on his random testing stance? Why would PBF agree to a cutoff date? With his win over Shane, he basically put himself in the drivers seat. The Pacquiao camp should take a fight with the USADA testing (no cutoff date) before they attempt to set anything up with PBF. This will at least let them experience and know what it's like and how much of an effect it will have on Pac. If all goes well and it turns out it isn't such a big deal, sign PBF up. I hate to say it but this fight won't happen unless it goes Mayweather's way.

Floyd would of fought the Mosley-Berto winner regardless. He'd mentioned fighting Mosley as a plan B earlier, and tried to fight Mosley in 1999 and 2006. Mosley refused to fight both times.

both sides taking a hard stance... this fight isn't gonna get made this year... maybe not ever. for the fight to happen, floyd might have to go broke first.

I think your wrong. Everything I've read so far tells me that they have a better chance of getting it done now more than last time.
