He would of beat a younger Duran who was wild. Floyd was also at his best at 135. I believe Floyd could outbox Duran.

The duran that beat Leonard was a 15 round monster. By then he was experienced and still fast.
That Duran beats Floyd at 147.

Duran was a little inexperienced when he lost to De Jesus. Floyd had trouble with Castillo....Duran whoops him!

Duran would ruin Mayweather at any weight, unless Mayweather waited til Duran was 40.

floyd is the best of his era by far. that said duran would knock him silly.

alot of ppl havent seen duran fight more than the fab four fights, and underestimate him severly. hes in everyones all time top 10 for a reason, an amazing fighter and i hate to say it but above floyd level.

duran was very smart, probably smarter than floyd. alot of ppl underestimate that, i watched his fights with iran barkley and davey moore just yesterday and couldnt help but say "what a fighter" to myself every 2-3 rounds or so.

floyd is great but duran is something else, manos de piedra by KO at both weights. nobody since pernell whitaker has even been on durans level p4p.

Duran lands a huge mano de piedra at 135 and it's nighty night Floyd.

At 147, Floyd has the edge.

Can't compare what Duran did to Leonard and assume he would do that to Floyd because they have different styles. Because Floyd is a better defensive fighter than Ray i think he can fight the Duran from the 1st Leonard fight a lot better close range because he can make Duran miss up close and counter. Ray was still inexperience in that 1st fight and could not handle the pressure of Duran. He got bullied along the ropes and was relying on desperate flurries and holding a lot early in the fight. He did pick up the pace and eventually got seperation to get his shots off to make it a close fight.

Floyd is not going to throw under hand flurries at air. He's going to defend himself and look for openings for solid shots so if Duran charges he will defend and counter. Ray was just throwing a bunch of pretty looking combos like he was in the 1976 Olympics but not landing.

Floyd's speed is less volume and more about accuracy and timing. If Duran charges in like that he would get countered all night long.

And, don't you dare bring up the Castillo fight.

ape **** on Duran at 135.

Duran at 135 could not **** with these fighters.
Jro you overrate Duran the most on this forum. He was not this untouchable force. There isnt a fighter on Durans resume at 135 thats a better fighter then Floytd was at that weight. Period and you know that.

SRL beat a fat Duran that didn't train properly, Leonard even says that the only reason he asked for a rematch immediatly after the first is because he knew he would spend the money on celebrating and wouldn't be in shape.
