It an extremely close fight. I thought Williams outworked Martinez in the late rounds to win a close decision. The word robbery is waay to strong.
Saying Williams robbed him, is like saying Cotto robbed Mosley..
Very close fights but come on.. neither were robberies

agreed. in a close fight, that could go either way, no such thing as a robbery. judges could have questionable scores tho.

martinez wasn't robbed. it was a close fight. whoever got the decision would've been OK with me. personally, i thought williams won by a round or 2. no more than that tho.

i agree i love that fight man martinez took it too pwill i think that's why people think pwill lost it, it wasn't that pwill didn't fight good or great people were just surprised how sergio was performing.

In the judges eyes i guess they thought P.will won but for those watching on TV many felt Martinez won the fight. Now ok P.will has the (W) on his record but is doesn't really reflect the fight.. I think Martinez is underated, if he was more known i think he'd of got the nod.

I thought PW won by two points. But I won't quibble either way. However, he closed the stronger fighter and perhaps solved the riddle. Not to mention, is desperately seeking the rematch while Martinez doesn't seem as willing.

I could see the same type of fight happening again but maybe Martinez getting the nod this time round since he is more well known after giving Pavlik a brutal beating.. I always feel sometimes if it's a close fight the fighter who is reconized by the fans or the bigger name always seems to get the advantage when going to the cards..
