Man I remember how crazy we got in the stands when Cotto kneeled down before Margarito.

Me and a big group right after the fight we're chanting..

"Yo si le voy le voy a los boricuas!"

      Easily Mayweather-Hatton

Could have been Pac-Hatton but we only saw 2 rounds of that and it was over!

In both these fights, you had 2 groups of fans who are crazy loud and enthusiastic. I love watching those fights because unlike a Hatton fight, if Hatton is losing, the place gets quiet and the vibe dies down.
Are you sure about that? From all the evidence that i saw Hatton's fans scream even more.

What are you saying? That if Hatton's losing the atmosphere dies down?

If so, you're wrong. That's a Kelly Pavlik crowd after about only 3 rounds of getting his ass beat by Bernard Hopkins. A Hatton crowd, as made up of morons as it may be, remains spirited and vocal 'til the end . . . I have no idea whatsoever where you got that from.

I'll give you Pac-Marquez I, definitely. Cotto-Margarito, just no. It was good, but nowhere near the best witnessed even in recent years.

Also, I'm sensing you don't watch many fights that don't take place on US soil and which don't involve a Mexican. In which case, you should stay away from making definitive 'best' type statements.

well i've been to a few fights pac -clottey was great just because of the stadium the fight was eh ,the loudest was definitely may-hatton.

but those two fights that thread starter named is great because the fighters kept going back and forth and so did the fans.

“I told people that for as long as I have been refereeing I had never had an adrenaline rush but I got one after the first round of The Pacquiao-Hatton fight,” Bayless claims. “It was so loud in that arena with the Brits and the Filipinos that it just was over the top. It was so loud in there that I had to yell just to feel that they could hear me. After that fight when Pacquiao finally knocked Ricky Hatton out, we usually have a post fight critique where we critique the whole evening. I had lost some of my voice and that was after only two rounds. If they fight had went six, seven, or eight rounds I could only imagine what kind of shape my throat would have been in.”
