Shot Cotto? Hm, We'll see in his next couple of fights, but that Cotto was as live as he can be.

Shot Hatton? Who looked very impressive in his last fight? The Hatton Pacquiao beat in Hatton's best weight class where he was never undefeated? People thought Hatton would maul Pacquiao.

Clottey? A legit WW contender who just never wants to let his hands go. Solid WW run so far.
Underdog or not, the Oscar he fought wasn't the Oscar Floyd fought.

Cotto pre-margarito would whoop Clottey for example. So yes, he was shot - Margarito basically ended his career.

No one who knew boxing thought Hatton would maul Pacquiao, get real - please.

Who thought Clottey would beat Pacquiao?

When Mosley vs Floyd got signed every Pacfan was enthousiastic about it.. thinking Mosley would stand a chance. Then the fight drew closer and reality started to kick in.. As always. The same will happen vs Pacquiao.

Edit: It has actually already happened. Look at all the Pacfans already making excuses for the inevitable loss, it's hilarious.

comparing robinsons to pacquiao? read post # 45...robinson lost to great fighters in their primes, no catchweights no nothing. pacquiao lost to 2 unknown bums at contender level at best..and then lost to a past prime weight drained erik morales, also lost to marquez twice.

        History of Duckquiao's "greatness"

        1. Beats prime Barrera: Good win, and best win of his career thus far.

        2. Gets owned horribly by fading Morales

        3. Owns a completely shot Morales that just got one sidedly OWNED by journeyman Zahir Raheem. This begins Pac's conquest of shot fighters who are coming off losses.

        4. Beats Oscar Larios in next fight who was just brutally KTFO in his previous fight by Israel Vasquez. boxrec: "Pacquiao stunned by a right hand in the third" LOL!
(Pac wins by UD unable to even KO a guy who just got annihilated in 3 rounds in his last fight. LOL!)

        5. Has a Draw with Marquez

        6. Beats completely shot to pieces weight drained DLH who had IV holes in his arms from being forced to rehydrate with a needle due to the sheer drain he had to go through to get down in the weight Pac made him fight at.
Victory means literally nothing. Not to mention DLH was coming off 3 losses in his last 5 fights. (not to mention takes Floyd's sloppy seconds)

        7. Destroys Ricky Hatton who was already previously destroyed by Floyd when Hatton was undefeated. Hatton's previous fight was an unimpressive bare victory over Lascano where Hatton was almost KTFO and showed he was shot. Another shot fighter perfect candidate for Pac/Roach.

        8. Forces Cotto to drain to 145 then beats him.

        9. Beats an overrated bum Clottey who threw 5 punches per round and was basically a sparring partner.

        Damn, Pac is truly great.

floyd isn't in his prime and the last competitive fight he had was against ricky hatton which was about 2 years ago ,floyd arguably has more ring rust than shane do you think jmm at 147 is a proper tune up for shane mosley?

sugar ray robinson doesn't fight in this era so the comparison isn't need.

youtube. com/watch?v=CpxtKlVQqCU (need 15 posts before I can post urls)

So all the *******s can basically take it easy as of now.. Even your idol's trainer knows what's up and doesn't beat around the bush.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Chris John, Sven Ottke are ATG's because they never were defeated.

Yup. Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, can't be uttered in the same breath as those ATG's because they have 27 losses and 7 draws amongst them.

If you want togo there, alright then. Let's look at Floyd's recent opp then too.

Marquez - best weight at 126-130, 35?, coming up to 144 when Floyd just came in at full WW limit? Tune-up fight, meaningless.

Hatton - good win but Hatton's best weight was at 140. Hatton fought at 147 once and won a belt but looked bad in doing so againest Collazo out of all people. He didn't have a chance. Another guy who just had to come up in weight.

DLH - at 154, very good win. Fought Oscar at his weight and with Oscar's demands. Close fight, though. Nothing to discredit this. Though a Prime Oscar beats Floyd.

Judah - live fighter, but was beaten by Baldomir, lol. People around here love to judge a fighter on his past losses, so I'll go with the trend here now too then.

Baldomir - paper champ? lol. Did he really pose a threat?

                      Mitchell - lol
