I agree with Johanson. Disagree with the others.

I know tyson will get in, but he shouldn't. Patterson was the first to win back the title and was a classy guy so he should get the nod.

How can you say Patterson shouldnt be in the hall of fame?

Foreman-Tyson should be in, he is the youngest heavyweight champion of all time as well as involved in the highest grossing and largest buy rate of any ppv event in history.

Spinksjinx, I feel that all of the bad things Tyson did in and out of the ring negate any of the good things he did. Especially now that there are questions as to just how good he was in his prime. Sure he blew through from '86 to '89. But there are questions as to was he that good or just hype.

I know people have different ideas as to what the HOF should be. I always felt that character should be a consideration. Just my opinion.

Classy post by the way. You stated your case and didn't resort to namecalling etc, which doesn't happen too frequently here. Thumbs up.

name a quality heavyweight that james braddock beat aside from max baer.
name something james braddock did that was noteworthy aside from win the title from a joker of a champion.
how long did braddock have the title?
how many successful defenses did he make?
