Even though he won, watching him this pass Saturday made me realize that Floyd is shot.
If Floyd is shot then what is Zab Judah then there must not be a word for what Zab Judah is....

If this shot floyd would beat anyone apart from maybe pacquaio or paul williams at welterweight, then imagine is there any hope for the rest of the welterweights like Cotto Margarito Mosley Berto Clottey

Floyd is in his prime right now imo.

Not physical prime, but prime as a fighter.

Like another poster pointed out, Floyd did use the uppercut to the body well in the Mosley fight, but I think the jab would've worked better.

You guys watched the Gatti fight? It was Floyd's 3rd fight at 140lbs.

He was coming off an easy victory against Henry Bruseles (a fight where he used the 3-3 format, i.e. 3 rounds moving and boxing and then 3 in the pocket).

In the Gatti fight, Floyd set up 5 and 6 punch combos from the jab to the belly.

Using the jab to the stomach centers Floyd so that he is always in a position to defend and throw punches.

You guys can't seem to understand that

Floyd's game plan was to stand toe to toe and brawl with Shane for a bit.

He didn't have to move as much once he sensed Shane's frustration at having to swing at a moving target that punched back hard. Shane's not the only fighter to experience much frustration when Floyd decided to open up and let'em fly.

As has been noted umpteen times, every fighter has the plan that will beat Floyd until they feel the swarm of leather that leaves them and their trainers scratching their skulls after a few rounds. If they have a backup plan it's usually null and void when they realize no plan is quite as successful as it turned out in training camp.

I anticipate a much different fight against Pacquiao if Manny ever decides to step in the ring for all time's sake.

Floyd won 11 rounds to 1. If he's shot then Mosley is straight up dead.

Prime Floyd would've 120-108 on all 3 cards IMO.

Floyd's jab to the pit of the stomach would've made Mosley more frustrated. He would've been playing the hand movement game and Floyd would've caught him with righ hands upstairs.

                    Instead, he relied on feinting.

You guys never watched Floyd/Bruseles or Floyd/Corrales?

                      Wow..

Oh. I forgot to mention the pull counter right hand as part of Floyd's declining arsenal.
