Shane was demoralized not physically beaten down !!

This is in response to some posters who are wondering why Phony Boy didn't live up to his promise of giving a Gatti like performance.

Yes, Shane was outpointed, but, y'all have to remember, Shane defended Phony Boy's left hook(which is his $$$ shot) well all throughout the fight.

He broke Shane down, but, he didn't physically break him down. As successful as his lead rights were, those were just "contact shots". Just like how they say Ichiro Suzuki is just a contact hitter in baseball.

Phony Boy knew that a puncher like Shane would be dangerous the whole time. As great a pot-shottin' job Phony did last Saturday, Shane's age and his inability to pull the trigger had some help in that too.

Shane also made a promise that he didn't live up to. He said that if he wobbled Floyd Jr, we would see a knockout. As a matter of fact, I made a thread on it. You should make your own thread about how Shane didn't live up to what he said.

Why would I make a thread about Shane not living up to what he said, when I envisioned what would happen was pretty close to what ended up happening.

Phony Boy is a different story. He was landing at will, all he had to do was step it up a notch, but, his shriveled balls got in the way once more. If you wanna sift through my posts pre-May 1st, you'll see what i'm talkin' about in regards to Phony Boy not willing to go that other level, when i know that he's physically capable of it, but, something else is going on in that boy's mind.

Yes, I did. Yes, he did walk Shane down, but, he stopped there. A killer would've put even more pressure, but, it goes back to his respect for Shane's punching power.

If you know anything about boxing, and evidently you don't know jack ****, that everything else can go in a fighter, but his punch is the last one to go. And Phony is well aware of this !!

What you need to do, is go take some boxing classes.

Phony Boy, did what he always does, with the addition of walking his opponent down this time around. But, that was it, he didn't go to another gear, man. Do you see what I'm sayin'. He did what he had to do, but not enough to go for tha KO.

Shane is old, but he's a durable guy. So, there's no way about it, but, to do more, but Phony Boy didn't wanna risk that ****, I'm tellin' ya.

Phony even mentioned that he was trying to go for the KO. Well, you know what, we've all seen great KO artists, you know how they dish it out.

That is not what he said, he said if he would have stepped up and enforced the plan sooner he thought he could have KO'd him, which I disagree with.

You are ridiculous the only reason that wasn't a fight was because Mosley wouldn't sit and exchange, we all knew that was his best chance at winning against PBF. Mosley just looked old, his stamina isn't what it use to be, but PBF did a lot of that to him. PBF is an all-timer like it or not, he is one of the most fluent fighters with one of the best defenses of all time. I would say that Whitaker was more elusive but PBF's defense is harder to penetrate.
