RANDOM DRUG TESTING in the Super Six: why no discussion?

Under the deal that Sauerland Promotions signed in Germany, all of their fighters must submit to WADA-style testing, conducted by the German equivalent of USADA. That means, quite simply, if you fight Arthur Abraham or Mikkel Kessler, you have to take random blood and urine tests.

Already, Spanish middleweight Pablo Navascues has been busted under this program.

Thus far only one Sauerland boxer has run afoul of the newly instituted testing rule. Pablo Navascues of Spain lost his shot at Sebastian Sylvester's IBF Middleweight Title after testing positive for banned substances during a random training test. He was replaced by Billy Lyell, who suffered a tenth-round TKO on Jan. 30.

If Floyd Mayweather, Shane Mosley and the fighters of the Super Six can take the test, why would any top fighter refuse?

Everybody has said that the Super Six is great for boxing. Well, the Super Six is doing random drug testing. Quietly and efficiently. Just like Mayweather and Mosley did. No problems.

WHY IS THIS FLYING UNDER THE RADAR?

Coz Mayweather Sr. didn't make any accusations in the super six that's why.

And besides, Manny has more haters.

Kessler performed a random test before Froch and yes he is a Sauerland fighter.

I agree completely that such a high-profile tournament should have random testing. Showtime should have made sure of that especially since it is well-known that Andre Ward employs BALCO ex-CEO and godfather of american doping Victor Conte.

neither dirrell nor ward had to submit to OST.
this was touched upon prior to the dirrell/abraham fight in michigan.

A major European country and promoter and top fighters are already doing this. Successfully and quietly. Guys have been busted already. So it's working.

Mikkel Kessler just put on a terrific performance after doing the drug testing. No complaints.

If this is not a legitimate topic, why is it covered by boxing websites and The NY Daily News?

If you are not interested in it, why did you enter this thread?

                    Nelly,

I think that Ward dropped Vic. He probably realized that the negative PR wasn't worth it.

Vic did say in an interview that he is working with "many athletes" who prefer to remain anonymous because they don't want the neg pub.
