I see it as, Floyd still respected Shane's power, yet was supremely confidant in his own ability to counter ANYTHING Shane threw at him....big difference....and that is why he never went for the kill....like we teach to the kids..."Safety 1st!"

If floyd puts on gatti like beatings all the time, he wouldn't get so much flak.
I think if ANYONE puts on Gatti type beatings...it gets the casual fan to notice that fighter....ex. Valero....Valero was declared by some to be Pacquiao's toughest fight outside of Floyd...based on what....a 27-0 with 27 KOs record? Action can do wonders for your career....

I think because he respected Mosley, he will go for the KO against Pacquaio to prove a point though. I always vote Mayweather by UD when he fights, I'll change that to Mayweather by KO when this fight takes place.

The thing to keep in mind, is that, Shane defended the left hook well, which is Phony's $$$ shot. That right hand was just a tapper, man. Did you see Shane's face, the guy was all smiles during the post-fight press conference, lol

You, know, more than anything, Shane was demoralized in that fight, but he wasn't beaten down.
Demoralized is the perfect word to describe Shane's attitude that fight....and yes...Shane was definately not beatdown...

When your elite...lack of power doesn't matter...its being able to string those punches together to make your opponent feel the accumulative damage (Pacquiao)....once Floyd finds the "Pretty Boy" again...Its pretty safe to say that he will no doubt be a top 5 ATG...and that's coming from a "Money" hater....

I have to admit that I am mad at Floyd now. Seriously.

The dude is that talented and that good. And that durable and strong....effing stop dancing with Marquez!!

If you want rounds, just go to the gym. Don't put in rounds "under the lights".

I now truly believe that Floyd could have stopped Hatton earlier, stopped Marquez, and stopped Zab.

But Floyd listens to Pernell talk. He listens to his dad. To his uncle. He listens to Vargas. He sees Ali. THAT is why he fights in such a cautious manner.

I strongly disagree with that...but that's what these forums are for...have a decent conversation oabout boxing opinions and views...

Pacquiao's chin has been proven...his warrior mentality has been shown...and his eagerness to trade punch for punch can be seen all the way back to his "one-dimensional" days....

The one attribute that will decide the fight...I give the advantage to Pacquiao....stamina.

Can Floyd keep Manny off him enough for a full 12 rounds......can he counter-punch those odd angled 3-4 punch combos (ex. 1st Cotto KD) all 12 rounds....can he stand toe-toe if neccesary with Manny for a full 12 rounds....

Hopefully we will find out those answers come November 2010....

My thoughts have been the same. I mean he probably sees Rog and his Dad on a daily basis, that has to mess with his mind.

Like I've said, a super talented guy like Phony has more gears in him, but, he's got somethin' messin' with him in the back of his mind.
