The p4p best is in his own division so there is no excuse for him not to go get it. Its not like the best p4p is a cruiserweight at the moment so PBF couldnt test himself against him.
PBF only has to fight and beat someone in his weight class to get the honours and he has put barriers up to it happening?
Tell me this- did Pac earn this status or was he GIVEN it ?

Pac only got the #1 P4P status because Floyd RETIRED. Doesn't that say anything?

Floyd hasnt fought any ATG boxers. He has a chance to fight Pac, who will be the best he ever fought.

FLoyd is not as good as Ali, or SRR. Hes better than DLH though at this point and Pernall witiker.

Who said Ali could call himself that after 19 fights?

From what I know he got bashed for that and everybody called him a big mouth.

Ali didn't get away with that statement. Until in pretty much after he shocked the world again against Foreman. Why people started coming to the idea of Ali being the greatest HW of all time.

Pacquiao earned it. His accomplishments over the last 7 years are worthy of being p4p #1, Floyd retiring or not.

Yeah people forget he was an underdog in the first Liston fight and a sizeable underdog against Foreman, after what Foreman had done to Frazier and Norton, who had both beaten Ali by then.

Floyd can call himself anything he wants. And as long as he continues to make fights like this one, there's a chance that one day people might even take him seriously.

I actually agree with this point. Pac is who EVERYONE considers to be on PBF's level. Without a doubt. He beats him, even if you still don't think he's the best you can't argue with him making the claim. People can make the argument "How can you be the best when there is someone right there just as good as you who you haven't fought yet." After the Pac fight, that's settled.

Ali fought greater competition. Any one coming for his belt...Floyd doesn't want the belt(because of the PW's,Margo's,and Cotto's waiting) and chooses his opponents wisely and fights once in a blue moon. What type of greatest of all time never has no mandatory fights. have a bum of the month fight in the welterweight division. if you are that good.

but Ali then went on to fight against fighters that were given very good odds, including some in which people thought Ali would get demolished. People thought Ali was crazy taking on some of those fighters.

                    Ali then proved them wrong!

Floyd's was heavily favored in his last fight but many of his fans are now thinking he is BETTER than Ali. Remember Mosley was a 39 year old man who hadn't fought in 1.5 years.

pbf has the best set of skills ever, but he isn't the best ever. Nor is he close to being the best ever.
