I didn't even see any Americans doing it. If he was this huge draw then he would have had a huge crowd behind him in that fight. And Mayorga is a pretty good name. Cotto was drawing fans when he fought Jennings and Urkal, two fighters who had no business in the ring with him. So what's your excuse for that???

I can't wait to see your reply to this post lol
i was' obviously not talking about shane vs mayorga instaed vs margo.....like i said, lets see the number for your claim....

Here is what I don't understand.

Floyd fans are saying that Cotto is a bigger draw than Shane. That is easy and is not even close. OK fine...

But, what I don't understand is that this are the same Floyd fans who are saying Shane is not draw. The same ones were saying that Floyd-Shane will sell more than Oscar-Pac. fuck Cotto-Pac more than Oscar-Pac. And, some of them was saying that it was going to easily sell more. Go look at Horus thread where he calling out bets that Floyd-Shane was going to outsell every single Pac fight. And, go see how many Floyd fans agreed.

But, now that maybe the numbers are not quite what people expected. Ya'll want to say Shane is not a draw. So my question is you guys did not know that before ya'll were making prediction how much this fight was going to sell?

Now saying all that. We don't even know what the numbers are yet. This fight could of possibly still be over 1.5mil... Maybe reach the 2mil mark that people were saying. It probably broke the record that they were aiming. I am hoping it did do the 3mil that Easy Work said it was going to do. I really do hope so. The more people that buy it the better. Lets just wait to the numbers come out. And, if it doesn't reach oh well. Anything around the mili mark it is a huge success.

But, I say this every time. I have never met a group of fans like some Floyd fans who care so much about the damn PPV numbers or splits. My goodness is like you guys getting a piece of the pie. Do you guys know something I don't? I want to get paid too. Where is the line?

That's not my point. You said Mosley is a bigger draw and he broke the record in the Staples Center, so if he was this big draw then why couldn't he do this like 4 months earlier against Mayorga in the same exact place? The only time he was able to draw was when he was in the ring with big names like De La Hoya and Margarito. When has he done it otherwise? Cotto has plenty of times, for example the Gomez and Clottey fights. Have you seen Miguel Cotto fighting on some lesser fighter's undercards after making a huge name for himself? Nope. He's been on PPVs. Well we've certainly seen Mosley on MAB's undercards after he became p4p king.

As a headliner, Cotto is bigger because of his fanbase. As a B-side, Mosley is bigger because of his name recognition.

I don't really pay attention to the numbers but I know most people would be excited to see a Cotto fight. He isn't ever really in a boring fight.

And where am I supposed to get numbers from? The only time Shane's have been mentioned was when a huge amount of Mexicans came to the Staples Center, expecting to see Margarito send him into retirement. I look at the atmosphere, the crowd, the reactions, the attendance, who they're fighting, etc.

And to answer your question, no, Mosley-Gomez and Mosley-Clottey would not do as good as the Cotto ones did. In fact, Mosley-Clottey was going to be an undercard fight last December! If Mosley was a bigger draw, he'd at least be able to hold his own event without a big name.

There you have it. Mayweather and Pacquiao couldn't even do that before they fought De La Hoya. Where's Mosley's big PPVs?
