and also, prime is not just an age...its a range of years of being on top of his game...for manny, he's been in his prime for several years...even though pac is in his prime, he has gotten better and better and better.

His prime was his early 20's

Likewise, Ali's prime was in his mid to late 20's before his ban from boxing, when he fought Liston, and Cleveland williams

He was actually passed prime when he fought foreman and frazier (look at his legs), but thats what made him so great. He fought the best when he was prime, and passed prime.

I'm done telling you what u should already know. Have fun muppet

Why would Floyd need to fix a fight against an older, less active version of Shane that Cotto already beat?

todays boxers are in their primes in the late 20's / early 30's...you are talking about the past. boxing today is different. todays division champs in their 30's tend to defend and keep their belts...

not too many early to mid 20's belt champ can defend and keep their belts...cuz who comes by and take their belts? yup...an early 30's prime boxer ;o)

everyone has an opinion of what prime age is...you have yours, i have mines

btw, we were talking about cotto's prime...you think he was past his prime after he lost to margarito due to the beating he took...but i still think cotto is still in his prime

there you go sayin its just an age that determines it.. You are stuck in a horrible purgatorial loop snap out of it. Prime is also a mental state. When you believe in your head "I can't be ****ed with" Cotto had that violently taken away, never had the same confidence after.

I'll try this again.. Cotto was passed prime after his devastating loss to margarito.

Ayo, why have you edited EVERY single one of your posts with like double the content that originally was there.

I'm not about to go back and respond to everything, is that your only way to look intelligent in a discussion?

              Sad

So Martinez has been past prime for 10 years now after a similar devastating loss to Margarito?

                  nah it wasn't that similar.

You could tell Cotto was broken through and through in that fight...

Perhaps. Cotto doesn't seem to be the same anymore.

Part of the reason why I think he should rematch Margarito. Stomp him into the ground without his wraps. Release that mental block.

Of course I suppose you could argue Martinez was affected for many years. It sure has taken a long time for a talented fighter like that to make it to the forefront.

I think Martinez suffered his relative obscurity because of bad promotion.. He's always had the potential to be a bigger name than he was.. But now he's getting his shine, so thats good
