  • Shane's Loss Excuse: Floyd Hurt My Neck From Pushing Down On It

WTF? Come on Mosley. That's some sad ass sh##.

Go to yahoo sports and watch the post fight interview with Shane.

They ask him what happened, why did you look tired and stop throwing punches?

Mosley's response: "My neck was real tight and after that I couldn't throw that much punches. My neck was tight from it getting pushed down so much."

To his credit he did add "also from being punched alot" or something to that effect but he's basically saying from Floyd pushing his head down so much his neck got real 'tight' and after that he couldn't throw as many punches and couldn't get off.

He then takes a further jab at Floyd when the interviewer asks "Is Floyd the greatest you ever fought" and Shane responds something like that Floyd is a great technician but "I don't know if he's the greatest boxer I've fought"

yeah ok. Shane who have you fought that's a greater boxer than Floyd? Oscar??

Shane looked stiff the whole way through. He fought with no confidence. Even when he hurt Floyd in the 2nd he looked like he was surprised that he got him.

Shane never got owned that badly before in his entire career yet he won't even admit Floyd is the best boxer he's fought? Come on now that's pure hatred...who owned you harder Shane, Winky??

I mean yes Floyd did hold his head down a few times in the fight I'm not denying that. But if that affects you so badly that your neck gets sprained stiff then maybe you're too ****ing old to be fighting.

SHANE, WERENT YOU THE STRONG MAN?

btw, Shane always fights stiff and jittery, he only relaxes when he sees hes winning easily. Jack Mosley always told him relax, just relax, dont be so tight, he always fights like that especially when hes losing

yup he fought like that when Mayorga was owning him too and he was un-confident and jittery until he KTFO him luckily in 12th round.

But good point, weren't you supposed to be the strong one Shane what happened how is it that Floyd was physically dominating you enough to sprain your neck? What a joke.

i though shane was going down late in the fight and it had nothing to do with holding the neck down just took too many solid shots

Shane's head is a bit big and difficult to miss and so is Manny's head.Expect the same treatment from Mayweather if Manny fights him.
