Micky Ward .. Worst defense ever?

After watching the Gatti Ward Trilogy recently again, I have began to question does Micky Ward has the worst defense ever? He bascially took every punch on the chin or to the body, Ocassinally in exchanges he would come up with his hands but very rarley. Dont me wrong I love Micky Ward he is a true Warrior with an Iron Chin, but he really has a horrendous defense and just gets cracked about 800 times a fight. Im suprised he doesnt have serious brain damage

If not Ward, who has the worst defense ever?

I'd say Chuvalo and LaMotta were as bad, if not worse, but they were even tougher beasts than Ward was. Chuvalo especially. That guy fought a lot of hall of famers, and he never hit the canvas once ... I guess he almost did vs foreman.

Ward probably left himself open to lure Gatti into exchanging with him more often, because that's the only way he could have beaten Gatti,is to make it a War.If Gatti stayed composed, and boxed the first fight,he would've won,and there would have been no need for the trilogy.

Chuvalo and Lamotta were both great fighters, with Chuvalo having the slightly better defense IMO. I like all three very much, Rocky appeal, ya know?

Lmao. Right after I read that stuff I pictured his head snapping back from one of those jabs by Apollo.

How quick before the real life ref stops a Rocky Balboa fight for taking too much punishment?
