Paul Williams would give Floyd a better fight than Martinez by far, and here's why.

His stamina is fine, few fighters have as good stamina as P. Will how many fighters can throw upwards of 1000 punches a fight?
Margarito, Pacquiao, Williams and Vitali? Thats a handful of people. And Martinez moves ALOT more than Williams, his foot movement probably uses a large chunk of stamina. Out of that group perhaps Pacquiao is the only one who moves his feet as much.
Shane usually has great stamina, it was Mayweather's movement and body punching that drained it. His stamina in the past has been the reason for his victories against Oscar etc.Last edited by Ryn0; 05-02-2010, 11:46 AM.Comment

Even if Martinez's stamina is good it aint as good as Williams' stamina. And the more stamina you got, the better chance you got of beating Floyd. His stamina is fine, few fighters have as good stamina as P. Will how many fighters can throw upwards of 1000 punches a fight?

I'd rather see Bradley than Martinez or Williams against Mayweather.
Make Martinez vs Williams 2 the co-feature...Comment

I honestly think if Pavlik doesn't rematch Martinez like I think he's not going to, then Martinez will get the fight with Mayweather. Sure, fighting a somewhat respectable opponent on the Mayweather-Mosley replay might peak some peoples' interest, but with Martinez being the linear champ at 160 it's gonna create a bigger demand for a Martinez-Mayweather fight. Floyd could ignore any sanctioning body fee he wanted to and it would still be for the Ring belt at Middleweight. I wonder why Burner hasn't voiced his opinion in this thread yet.Comment
