Paul Williams would give Floyd a better fight than Martinez by far, and here's why.

Martinez doesn't have very good stamina. He took practically a three whole rounds off in the middle of the Pavlik fight and him gassing out down the stretch of the Williams fight is a big cause of him losing that fight outside of that one judge who already had the scorecard filled out for Paul Williams before the fight started. To beat Floyd Mayweather, you at least got to have stamina that is on par with him because we saw what happened to Shane Mosle for gassing out. And Martinez's endurance is I don't know if I would say as bad as Mosley's, but it's not great either.

Williams might not be as technically sound as Martinez is, but he does a better job at punching in combinations than Martinez does, and the fact that he would keep coming at Floyd and not get tired even if he was behind in the fight would make him a more live opponent.

The fact that Martinez brings more to the table now being the champ at 160, and Williams letting his pride get in the way trying to show Pavlik that he wasn't gonna play games with those cancellations of their fight is why Martinez is in a hell of a lot better of a position than Paul Williams. I tried to explain that to Burner and still do. But it seems that he doesn't want to listen to me.

Martinez doesn't have good stamina? He's probably one of the most athletic boxers fighting right now...

He didn't take rounds off against Pavlik. Pavlik just tightened up his game and adjusted to Martinez's pace.

His staminais fine. Against Williams he had to move/dodge a trillion punches and fight back

against pavlik he had to keep moving in and out side to side non stop.

Do you honestly think he'd have to keep moving against floyd? Lol.

He also fights more Floyd's pace, whereas Paul just tries to overwhelm you with punches and never let you.

Iceta Lives, Roger Mayweather agrees but Martinez has alot more to offer. By the way, Martinez's stamina issues as of late was more due to Pavlik/ Williams's size/ Williams activity.

Floyd needs to fight Manny already the politics of putting this fight together is ridiculous. There is no reason why Manny cant get some good juice from a balco like company that will let him beat the testing.

you make some very good points right there but i think p will is very easy to hit and floyd would take him apart,it would be a good fight but the leaky defence of p will would cost him the fight, either way i would be very happy to see floyd in the ring with either of them 2
