Shane just could not get off at all last night after round 2. I think he was getting countered to the point where he stopped trying to throw. He was completely confused with Mayweather's speed, timing and accuracy.

Shane always taps gloves as a show of class. He was trying to tap gloves with Cotto after every round, but Cotto paid no attention and ignored him.

Floyd did the right thing, because you always have to protect yourself. Although I was a little pissed

Yea i think mosley got blinded by the bright lights. which is strange because here's a guy who's been around the sport for years but then again when was the last time fought a " super fight "?? the margarito fight was big but compared to last night it was telemundo level. Shane was so nervous that by the 3rd round he was already gassing without throwing alot of punches.

Floyd looked better than ever and Mosley looked like crap. You can't do 2 back to back training camps combined with almost a dozen blood tests when you're 38. I think that even if Mosley was at his best, Floyd still would've won but it wouldn't have been so one sided.

I think Shane suffered from anxiety in the build up and spent a lot of energy before he even entered the ring. He looked tight and pensive even though he was trying to smile going into the ring. Although on very good money a win set him up for a monster payday with Pacman. He has just had an expensive divorce and other than Manny there are no other pension plan paydays out there. He was under a lot of pressure and had to face in my mind the best fighter in the division by far.
Once he shot his load in the second he looked spent and inside knew he did not have the tools to get the job done. Every time he attacked he got countered hard to the point where he ran out of ideas of what to do. It is tough to keep going when you know the guy you are fighting is a class above you. add to that shane's age and the fact Mayweather makes everyone look bad and it is no surprise the wheels came off.
I also think that was an on top of his game Mayweather he was fighting.

Ring rust gone wild. Shane got really tight and the ring rust and anticipation for the fight got him. He wanted to knock Floyd out so bad.

So bottomline floyd would have wins anyway, but a better mosley (one who boxed, like a previous poster mentioned) was just nowhere to be found. I agree that both pressure and age got him but most importantly I feel his strength went to his head. Naseem said it himself....don't look for the knockout...than punch comes later.
