    Shane Mosley: What happened?

First and foremost I am no fan but definitely respect Mayweather and consider him pound for pound at the moment for my own reasons so this is not being biased at all. I would just like to know what y'all think happened? i knew Mosley lost because once I saw the new tattoo I felt that he wanted a sort of "rebirth" to feel young again so to speak. Then and there I knew it was the end. I felt as though he needed something to re-affirm that he was a warrior. Now onto the fight.....do you guys think that Shane really grew old overnight? or did he simply fold under pressure? I think it was a combination of both simply because I feel he could've performed A LOT better than he did. I feel his anxiousness from the pressure was too much although age was definitely a factor. I still feel the real Mosley did not show up. If he did show up I could've seen it as Shane:split decision/late flash knockdowns/stoppage or all the more likely. Floyd: split decision. In the end I still believe Floyd would have won but it wouldn't have been so one-sided if those two factors didn't come into play. In my eyes I give it Shane: 70% folded under pressure 30% age related. What do you guys think?

He was spent after his heroics in R2. He lost his composure and rhythm after that round. Looked edgy, tight and awkward from then on. Plus Mayweather adjusted his strategy and Mosley had no plan B or C. In fact I think his plan C was just hang in there to the final bell. It stopped being competitive after the first few rounds.

I don't want to take away from Mayweather's Victory, but heres what I saw with Shane Mosley. He just fell in love with his power.

He underestimated Floyd. He went in thinking about all the stuff he could do to Mayweather and once it couldn't happen it frustrated him. Mayweather wasn't Margorito relentless however he fought much different than Shane expected in my opinion.

Shane also didn't think about Floyd hitting him back. Everyone has a plan until they get hit. He over exserted himself.

Like Mayweather said, on the outside it looks rather easy until you're in the ring with that person.

Dude gassed and folded under pressure. And what's with all the glove tapping he kept doing w Floyd? Didn't he get tagged once while trying to touch gloves. Fck all the glove tapping. Floyd had the right mentality going in Mosley didn't.

Mosley has been trying for nothing but knockouts since probabaly Vargas. There is nothing that Mosley was doing different.

The only thing that has changed that I saw tonight was he got gassed in the 3rd round. Normally Mosley gets gassed in the 6-7th round and has to resort to his champion will and desire to push through the last rounds. And again, I'm talking around the Wright/Vargas era of Mosley.

You guys think he has changed so much but I didn't see a different Mosley at all in the ring. I used to be a fan of him but ever since he looks for nothing but the knockout, I've dropped off.

Here is a post I made before the fight.

If Mosley, and it's not even much of an if, comes out and actually boxes then has has a great shot.

Sadly Mosley is a wannabe knockout artist and will throw everything he has into a punch. Mayweather can see power shots a mile away; there is no way they will be effective.

Mosley has great in-and-out combination punching skills and usually displays them for a couple of rounds during a fight. Then he gets tired of boxing and goes for the knockout punch. As soon as Mosley looks for the knockout, Mayweather will take over the fight possibly knocking him down.
Oh yeah, and I never even saw him try his combination punching. He was only looking for the big right for 12 rounds. You can't do that vs Mayweather, it just won't happen.

I saw a weak blood drained Mosley in there. Mosley has never been weak like that before, OSDT does work.

He was outclassed. A lot of guys do well early against Floyd. Floyd was feeling him out and got caught. After that he realized he knew he had to stop playing, and it was as one sided as Mayweather/JMM from round 3 on.
