I am probably biased, however I think the guy had ALL WORLD talent. Definately Hall of Fame talent. He had a great run their 10 straight defenses @ 154. I think he could have outboxed tito all day long. He had enough power to knock hmi out as well.

This guy had better than preety good power. I really enjoyed watching him fight. Remember when he was on top of his game, he was thought to be unbeatable.

P.S. Can you link up that radio conversation about Terry Norris?

I would pick over Wright Vargas Maybe Trinidad . Oscar was just better and would stop him late I think . Imagine that for a ppv night Oscar vs Norris @ 154

I dont think Oscar would have beat him. I think Norris would have taken him too school. All De La hoya had was a left hook. Norris was such a skilled boxer it was ridiculous. Weak Chin yes , that always was a problem.

What happened with Oscar vs Pernell?
Pernell didnt hit anywhere near as hard as Norris. I think Norris had that much skill/talent.

I think they were both schedule to meet at a catch weight at one time but unfortunately Terry had lost his defense fight before they met so the deal was cancelled and Terry retired soon after.

Norris would lose to Tito, Vargas, & De La Hoya. He was a good fighter but when he realized he could dominate a fight, he'd lose focus. I remember seeing that Jackson vs. Norris fight & Norris had a really good 1st round; even stunning him. He got lazy & then BOOM; he was out on his feet with one punch & I'm surprised he made it to his feet but was in no condition to continue. Any of the top above could KO him because of their power & skill.

Great fighter to watch but his chin was always his problem....plus he did stay way from some of the best fighters of his time...Mcallum for 1 and he never avenged his 2 round blowout loss to the Hawk.

He liked to beat up on small guys like Meldrick Taylor...he was always lobbying for a shot at JC Chavez as well but he was never lobbying for the guys a division north of 154.

Sounds like Hopkins, picking on the little guys at least. Who was that guy he kept fighting that they were determined for him to get the win against? The boxer was not very good, but they had the fight three times before Norris finally cleanly beat him. What a waste of time.
