Terry Norris would clean out the 147 & 154 divisions.

Terry Norris what a fighter. Since he is in the boxing hall of fame. Why dont we discuss his career.

I believe in his prime he would wipe the floor with ALL the current 147-154 pounders. Vargas, Tito, Hoya, Mosley, Judah, etc...

He could even beat Mr. Winky Wright.

The guy when motivated was a monster. Look at the bout against Simon Brown. Knocked out 1st fight, then 2nd fight absolutely outclassed him.

He was one of my favorite fighters.

    What do you all think?

Terry Norris was a very good fighter. Tremendous skill and decent power. His problem was chin..or lack thereof.

I can't see him beating Tito or wright. A fight vs DLH is very intriguing.

very good..but not great is my opinion of Norris

I am not a Tito guy but I can see Tito being just like Simon Brown...the first Tito vs. Norris fight would end with Tito killing Terrible Terry and the second fight would probably end in a Norris decision with Norris running around staying away...

Great fighter to watch but his chin was always his problem....plus he did stay way from some of the best fighters of his time...Mcallum for 1 and he never avenged his 2 round blowout loss to the Hawk.

He liked to beat up on small guys like Meldrick Taylor...he was always lobbying for a shot at JC Chavez as well but he was never lobbying for the guys a division north of 154.

good analysis. I think Tito ko's Norris anytime. McCallum is a very underrated fighter. Everyone avoided him untill he got old.

He whacked out Norris,Jackson among others and always fought tough opponents. When he fought Toney to three standstills, he was old and out of weight class and still did pretty damn good.

Your right, the body snatcher would have taken Norris apart...He was kind of like a Jersey Joe Walcott...no one fought him until he was old like you say...had he have gotten the opportunities to make biog fights in his prime he may be a guy that we talk about all of the time around here instead of getting a mention every once in a while.

We will never no how good trhe body snatcher was but my guess is he is alot better than anyone knew.

as it was, I feel he was one of the better fighters of his generation..but was lost in the Hagler/Hearns/Leonard/Duran shuffle

Terry Norris shouldnt have made the boxing hall of fame as a first ballot. He should be a 2nd ballot guy. Listen to ********* Radio and they explain in full depth the way he got in over the weekend. I believe it was 2 out of 10 wanted him in

A lot of people make it in who probably don't deserve to get in.
