Mayweather said on HBO Buzz that he hes bigger and the hits harder than Gatti?? Is he serious??? Hes has a real weak punch at Welterweight he hit a Corley a bunch of time cleanly and there wasnt any affect, he needed like 8 rounds to get rid of Bruselles and he poped him cleanly all night

I'am a huge mayweather fan but i defitnetly dont think he can hit harder than gatti. -
He cant hit harder than Gatti but he did knock Corley down 4 times even though they scored it as one, some of them coulda have been knockdowns and also he dis mantled Bruseles at 140 knocking him down twice before the doctor stopped it., I guess though thats the lost fight at 140 for himOriginally posted by jchavez12345Comment

can't really tell who hits harder, floyd have dropped alot of fighters, including Corrales who is tough as nails. Floyd maynot hit as hard as gatti, but he can land more clean shots, inturn makes his shots more effective.Comment

He's the faster more accurate puncher.
Mayweather does have power to be reckoned with, is it greater than Gatti's? We may never know.
On a side note, though, are you sure that's what he said, I mean in an interview he saying some stuff about how he has a better knockout ratio than Gatti.Comment

I think Gatti got the edge in power on this one. I think Floyds power is more of "the shot you dont see is the one that knocks you out" type of power.Comment

Gatti's got the brute strength and the heavier hands but Mayweaters more pinpoint with his shots and thats what you can count on more often to do the damage.Comment
