No, it was because Floyd chose Ricky Hatton.

Mosley looked great against Collazo, while Hatton looked beatable against Collazo. So Floyd chose the smaller Ricky Hatton over Shane.

Mosley isn't shot. He came off a destruction of a known welterweight terror.

Floyd never ducked Mosley. You know this. Mosley had no time for him BITD, Mosley stepped aside -- they called it 'toothache' -- to give DLH first crack at him 7 years later.

You're gonna have to try harder to alienate me, since I know you know all this and can do a lot better.

You can't do a lot better. You're a pathetic wasteman. The only thing 'finito' is your cred in any discourse about boxing. Stick to posting articles from outside the site that we otherwise wouldn't see, that's where you excel.

Shane's still smart, powerful, fast (not as fast). He can still beat some good fighters and give other fighters trouble.

He was tired because of his age. Don't let this fight fool you at all. People I was with who don't watch boxing kept doggin Shane and it pissed me off because people don't realize that he's old. He showed this in the Cotto fight two years ago.

He can still get by on the things I listed thoug against the right opponenets. If he can still beat guys like Berto then why not keep fighting?

The Mosley who Floyd fought tonight is arguably better than the one Cotto edged out. What's Shane been through since having Cotto backpedalling in the championship rounds that could've made him shot for this fight?

Nope, the man benefited notably from a change in his corner and then stayed in great shape through his last year of SELF-IMPOSED exile.

Your argument isn't convincing. Give Mayweather some credit. He deserves it.

          Floyd never ducked Mosley.

floyd even wanted to fight mosley in the 90s, when mosley was undefeated.
and why should he wait for mosley, when he had the chance to fight 43-0 hatton?
its also about the money, why do u think wladimir is trying his best to make haye sign the contract?

in my opinion, a shot fighter would get completely dominated for the entire fight if not stopped. i'm pretty sure i saw mosley almost put floyd on his ass at one point.

                  He's a good cat.

However, he is also very wrongheaded on this one.

Shane looked okay in round 2, but then became tired. His stamina wasn't there tonight.

Is that an indication of a shot old fighter, fading after a couple of rounds?

Look how well Shane fought in the late rounds against Collazo and Cotto - no evidence of fatigue then.
