Anyway you slice it, Mosley took out a granite chinned extremely durable fighter in Margarito. Mosley is a very dangerous fighter and Floyd taking him on is huge. This is probably the greatest risk that Floyd has taken in his career, because if Mosley catches him, he can take him out. That said I don't think Mosley catches him, but that risk is real and a win is huge for Floyd.

Of course he should've fought Shane, since the Pacquiao fight wasn't made. Because he's RANKED at the top. But please don't try and say that a win over a clearly past it but once great fighter is a "great" win.

If that's the case, then Holmes' victory over Ali is a "great" one, because Ali was still the lineal champ.

Mosley wasn't "clearly passed it" in the fight I saw him in last. I don't know what fight you were watching. Being passed it has little to do with age sometimes and more to do with wear and tear and intangibles like whats going on in the boxer's life. For instance Hopkins still schooled Pavlik in his 40's but RJJ took a long dive off a short pier in his 30's.. And as to whats going on in his life, Mosley says he is in a good place right now.
