take a look at the slow mo replay he got caught a few times and the ones you dont see cause even more damage because you cant clinch your jaw muscles to soften the blow

Going to round 5, with a broken jaw, would you believe that Hasegawa could have performed an a la "Arthur Abraham" and win a decision??

Arthur Abraham had his jaw broken in two places with his first fight with Miranda in round 5 but he still opted to fight and he eventually won a decision against Edison "foul play" Miranda...

No, his corner would have more than likely stopped it. I can't see Hozumi fighting with a broken jaw. If he did, the dude would be a beast and if he pulled an AA, he is a god.

And I hold Montiel to the same standards as Nonito when it comes to calling out Darch, but at least he put Nonito on notice too. Hell, Darch as the actual weak link at 118 has his promoter trying to get him the winner of Perez-Mares. But who does Donaire want to fight? A rematch with Darchinyan.

            For anyone who cares.

I checked out Hozumi's blog just now and he said something didn't feel right after round 1. But he says that it's a clean break, so it will be fine.

I gotta wish him a healthy recovery.

If Perez wins, there's a very good chance that fight'll be made. GS will keep it in house.

No way was that happening, Hasegawa was already out on his feet while Montiel was teeing off. The last 3 or 4 uppercuts that Montiel threw actually came up short because the ref was stepping in. If Montiel had landed those + another 3 or 4 before time expired, Hasegawa could have called it a career.

I question whether anybody can beat Montiel when he's on his game. And yeah, it's been said a million times but that stoppage was legit.

i dont think the stoppage was early at all....but a broken jaw is no argument to say it shoulda been stopped, so all you people making it your point are effin morons......plenty of people have fought with broken jaws........Tarver's was destroyed by Harding......and he still hung in there......
