    Overrated/Underrated Gatti?

i love arturo gatti. i love his exciting fights, i love his Thunder persona, i think he looks like a true warrior, and hes an excellent fighter. but im confused about certain parts about him. i think hes overrated and underrated at the same time.

    overrated:
his power. i dont think he'll KO floyd.
his skill. against other fighters, he might be the best. against floyd, i dont think he has enough to beat floyd on skill.

    underrated:
his skill. i think his clumsy warrior label sticks too much to gatti. hes got good skill as he showed against dorin, ward, and leija.
his chin. boxing scene predictions say that floyd has a better chin than gatti. the only guy to legitimately KO gatti is oscar de la hoya who was just so much bigger and stronger than gatti.

i think gatti's only way to beat floyd is if gatti pressures and captures floyd on the ropes and works floyd over. gatti might only be able to win on heart.

these are my comments. tell me what you think about them.

gatti is a good boxer. he started off his career having good movement until he fell too much in love with his power and started comming foward all the time.

i think beating floyd is going to be tough. if and when he pins floyd to the ropes he'd better attack the body fierce...but if he waits and postures too much or runs in all the time with no plan...floyd will pick him apart.

btw-he better not underestimate mayweather's punching. if he gets caught in between punches he'll get buzzed.

If you look at the 4th round I think of the Floyd/Correly bout, Correly hit some solid punches on mayweather and nearly knocked him down. I imagine if Gatti gets that chance he will get the job done because he has more power, and although his boxing has been working for him recently, he might have the best chance just brawling with mayweather because, like I said before when Correly kept throwing punches he gave floyd some trouble. I really doubt Gatti or anyone for that matter can out box him.

Some people talk about Gatti like his a big bum and has zero skill

I think he has a big chance against Mayweather...

I saw Mayweather-Corley today and people act like Mayweather never gets hit, he can't make Gatti miss all his punches

You know i agree wit u on every post BUT Mayweather fought out of his game againest Corley for the fans. He got paid 3.1 million for that fight and I guess he felt it was his time to brawl. Watch him vs Bruseles or Corrales and you'll get a better idea of how he will fight Gatti.
