Montiel will win again, it was no fluke. Unless his opponent learns something new and gets a trainer, Montiel will probably catch him again with similar punches and stop and hurt him.

Montiel can be inconsistent at times because of his training and sometimes lack of determination/drive.

That said, a motivated Cochulito can beat anyone under 118. His explosiveness, speed, ring IQ, and just the skill he has, especially in the left hand is great when he's motivated.

That was why I was pissed when he didn't fight Donaire or Darchinyan when he had the chance to unify 115. He now gets the recognition that he deserves and can still fight one of them.

I didn't see the fight. Did Montiel dominate or did Hasegawa look good too?

I slept on Montiel. Great win for him, no matter what gets said about the stoppage. Time for a rematch.

It has nothing to do with getting a new trainer. They had a gameplan for him and it didn't work out, back to the drawing board.

From what little I did see(since it was 4rnds), I would tell Hozumi to pull a Mayweather/Dirrell in a rematch. The footwork advantage goes to Hozumi, just stick to the outside and stay away from the inside where Montiel's hooks are the most devestating. Hozumi got caught trying to be a champion, went into his opponent's world and got hurt for it. Now, he should win like a challanger, where he is best at.

No one dominated. Hozumi was obviously winning on points and ring generalship. Then out of the blue, left hook sends Hozumi to the ropes and it's over on his feet.
